When you mentioned the cathedral of the Sagrada Família, people think it is due to Antoni Gaudi. Actually, this is true in one respect: art. Gaudí was the architect who designed and directed during his life works today we contemplate the magnificent building. But the founder of the basilica, who propagate the idea of lifting, gathered the money, bought the land and started work, was another layman, the printer and bookseller Josep Maria Bocabella I Verdaguer (1815-1892). He was who in 1883 dismissed the first architect and hired Antoni Gaudí to replace him. At that time, Gaudí did not mind that it was the Holy Family, the Sacred Heart or the Divine Mercy, and even that was not a church; all this in his holiness would come later. As in the case of Gaudí and the Twelve martyrs of the basilica of the Sagrada Família, the initiative for beatification of Bocabella not leave on an ecclesiastical entity, but a civil association, registered in the registry of the Government of Catalonia: Associació Veritat i Justícia (Truth and Justice Association), of which chairman is Mr. Antoni Oliva. Several people support this beatification, as the historian Josep Maria Benitez, Father Lluís Bonet, parish of the crypt of the Sagrada Família, and Jordi Faulí, architect in charge of the construction of the basilica. The Associació Veritat i Justícia has become the canonical process and entered on January 9, 2013 in Barcelona Archbishopric document for opening the application process for beatification Bocabella. The answer, soon.
