The tower of El Capricho

A set of brackets of staggered profile covered with glazed ceramics support the eaves of the portico of entry, where a small terrace relies. The rail is of iron with the props curled in the shape of whip; it’s very similar to that of the house Vicens. Of this terrace on the portico of entry it starts the tower, totally redressed in glazed ceramics that represents flowers of sunflower. Gaudí used the same tiles in the terrace of the house Vicens. The tower is cylindrical and ends in another profile of brackets and a new terrace, also protected by a rail of iron with the same drawing that the low one. On the top terrace, four columns raise with Doric capital that support a shrine and a crowning of pointed form covered with ceramics of green color. It reminds the ventilators of the pavilions of the Güell’s state. A stairs of snail facilitates the access to this viewing-point, from the garret.
