In the epoch of the construction of the house Vicens (1883-1888), Anton Gaudí spent some seasons in the house that his client and friend Manuel Vicens had in the village of Alella (el Maresme), in street of Dalt (today Anselm Clavé). There he left a chimney corner table and an angular cupboard of wood and metal. In the cupboard, two web-footed birds act of pedestal of the central column, from which the two doors are opened towards out, allowing acceding comfortably to the totality of the interior. The metal inlays represent diverse stems, leaves and flowers, which Gaudí was drawing in Alella's surroundings. Nowadays it is a property of the family Borrell I Carrió, of Barcelona.
