Bell gable of the Carmelites (c. 1867-1868)

Anton Gaudí drew this belfry towards 1867 or 1868 to the charcoal pencil, when he was some fifteen years old. It represents, probably, the belfry of the Carmelites of Reus, placed in front of home, in the same street of Sant Joan. This convent was demolished on occasion ot the Revolution of 1868. It was the only drawing that kept from his album of teenager. It was lost in the fire of the workshop of the Sagrada Família of 1936 and only we have the reproduction that made Ràfols in his book.
