Another step in the beatification of Gaudí

The Congregation for the Causes of Saints already have documented biography of Antoni Gaudí. On July 4, 2012, the architect Jose Manuel Almuzara, president of the Association for the Beatification of Antoni Gaudí, civil entity incorporated in 1992 with the aim of promoting and carrying out the process of beatification of "God's Architect" gave the job to the Capuchin friar Vincenzo Criuscolo, relator general of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints. This biography studied systematically Gaudí's life in strict chronological order, ie, without omitting any period since his born in 1852 until his death in 1926. Is documented exclusively on the writings and works of the artist and what wrote or said -on a first or second hand- people who knew him what has been tried to take detailed. Not included interpretations -much less esoteric inventions or fictional- made later by authors who did not try to Gaudí or people who knew him. Therefore, with respect to the stages or aspects of the architect's life over which we have not found direct and reliable data, we preferred to leave them blank. In summary, we have tried to meet Gaudi his contemporaries met him. This biography is the basis for the other texts that will complete the "positio", the basic document of the canonical process that examines the sanctity of Gaudí. This requires that, alongside the progress of the "position”, proving the intercession of the "Architect of God" in a miracle, something that has not happened yet.
